There is something really wrong in the whole install. You guys have removed the one way check valve that the 044 has. That's not clever, coz the pump will die in the long run from the pressure. I have 2 of this in my car, one intank and one outside. You NEED the one way check valve to protect the pumps on high boost from the constant high fuel pressure. Cheers

it did fine with me. Although i did it a little bit different on my car. I bought aeroquip banjo, with 6 an, then went to a 6an 130 degrees fitting then to 6an braided and then went through the top with a 6an fitting. But keep it simple with the banjo of ebay and it will work just fine.

If you replace the check valve then the fuel pressure is forcing 100% of the time the pump bearings and internals. This way you are putting extra wear and tear on the pump for no reason. Result i have seen a 044 fail in about 7,500km due to this mistake running at 4,5-5 bars on full boost, that's like 3bars on 0 pressure. So it is wiser to keep the check valve, or just buy an inline one from aeromotive or some other company. BUT YOU need a check valve. This is how an EFI system should work. Think about all the pulses of the injectors, hitting the pump, if there is a check valve, no fuel vibration will even come close to the pump.

As an alternative can't you just replace the check valve supplied with an NPT/AN type fitting?

How noisy is not very noisy at all? Are you full interior Heckler?

I have full interior. when i ran the pump that was with me looking in the boot with everything removed, I didnt think i was too loud.
