carl0s
4 Channel CCTV Digital Video Recorder, with ethernet for computer monitoring/monitoring via Internet. £100 + delivery. It has the usual BNC composite inputs for cameras, and loops back out the same. It has composite out for monitoring also, and S-Video out. It also has audio in and out, so I guess that means it records sound too, although I never tried that. I paid ~£220 for it, without HDD. It has a 250gb Seagate HDD in it. I think I disconnected the little chassis fan because it got noisey. No problems though. £100 + delivery. Delivery would probably be £20 for insured Royal Mail Special Delivery, or somewhere around £10 for regular delivery but I don't think that would be insured. carl0s
Tech specs I am unsure of, but it is "basic/standard" if you like. That means the frame rate is split over the four channels, and the resolution is standard or in my opinion low, but standard/typical of units costing less than thousands of pounds. stevie_b
Hmm. Potentially interested, if it hasn't gone already. Being analogue, I presume it can't support features such as motion detection...? How much recording time would the 250gb HDD give?
carl0s
Sorry, this is sold. I think it might have motion detection anyway, not sure. It's digital, not analogue. It uses analogue cameras, but then they all do. DVR means Digital Video Recorder.
