steb9780
What needs machining on them?
SupraT61
the flanges. Ones slightly warped so going to get them all machined and do away with the gaskets
Chris Wilson
the flanges. Ones slightly warped so going to get them all machined and do away with the gaskets IMHO this is not a good idea.... You need to ask WHY these things warped in the first place. If turbo to manifold et cetera interfaces were more reliable without gaskets then why do all makers use them? The answer possibly lies in the flanges themselves and the material they are made of.

I got excited with the welder when I was relocating the flange Its at a local machining place now

OK, manifold flanges should be surface ground *after* welding, in a perfect world. (What's that then....? )
bolarbag
This is the route I'm going too, are we still good on this, or is it not a good idea? Manifold already done, as is turbo e.t.c
