Gerry
After my last thread on our Flying Flea Granny Car (modified Smart ForTwo 700) http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=128610&highlight=flying+flea I have to report that increasing the manufacturers factory BHP figure by 57% does produce a great little fun car that really gets lots of looks when overtaking peeps on the by-pass (usually unhappy ones) But, I also have to report that our little engine has blown up and needs a major rebuild We "may" be able to save the Turbo So the moral of this story is...... Was great fun while it lasted and we are going to do it again :d:d Watch out warminster reps in a couple of weeks

Gerry
Just an update for all the fans (Jon & John - that makes three of us) of Smart cars Knackered the turbo too So as I'm a mature, sensible and fairly careful person, I'm having a bigger turbo fitted I've got a Garrett GS1238S that goes in the Roadster going in. The only mod needed is to the exhaust manifold as it's bigger. Seemed the only sensible thing to do Will keep you posted... PS... Saw a lime green one recently with a number plate that ended in "YUK" .. brill
jaymdee
Nice one Gerry. Will this allow you to run more boost?
Gerry
Nice one Gerry. Will this allow you to run more boost? It should give an additional 10% BHP on top of the remap, looking at 110-115 BHP (it always makes me smile talking about these BHP figures on a Supe forum but at 740 kg, it will be around the 150 BHP/Ton, so quite nippy). Will be a lot quicker than the Fortwo Brabus (more BHP) and Roadster (more BHP & lighter) NOS next ...
