RedM Posted July 17, 2008 Share Posted July 17, 2008 Does anyone iron their Hakama? What a chuffing ball-ache. I've just spent over an hour ironing mine and I'm still not happy with the results. I'm seriously considering buying some new ones instead. Are there any professional Hakama ironing services, ideally in the North. I take it you didn't read the page fully? After drying, fold the hakama and you can think about the meaning of the pleats as you fold it. Generally, it will not need ironing if you do the previous steps. Ironing can cause the fabric to look shiny. I normally don't iron them. Not even once a year TBH but this time they needed it. Luckily I've forgotten my Megaboost password. Sometimes it's nice to enquire outside of the normal forums. This way, you can HAND wash your Hakama and hang them out to dry and still have those great looking pleats.
