Althought the fella over the road sold his house last week for the asking price and a lady up the road was only £1k short of target. It's the benefit of living in an up and coming area and owning the only houses on the low end of the market that are affordable within comuting distance of London. Can't wait to move out of this place though! The house prices are the same round here, but they are dropping massively where I want to move to. The market changes are good news for some people. mathew Posted July 16, 2008 Share Posted July 16, 2008 +55%!!!! although that is after the renovation ive carried out. 2 houses went up for sale and sold within 3 weekslast month in the street where im currently at. the area is having a massive amount of money ploughed into it with a new stadium,coastal projects, enterprise parks,cinemas etc and with my home being at the affordable end in a nice area im sitting pretty.
