AlexM
To be fair on him, the fail happened further up the page. It would be fair on him to say so, however he then quoted the fail and created a DOUBLE FAIL! Oh noes!

Supra Size Me
Most of my scary moments have been London related for some reason ..... First off was being trapped under a 22 tonne concrete unit under the thames in pitch blackness (where do you think the S**T goes .. ) and having to take off my bail out bottle in a ditch and retrieve scenario so I could get out of the 1ft by 2 ft opening in the unit that lead to the surface. Next wasn't very scary at the time due to intoxication from alcohol but on a night off myself and the other divers went pubbing it and went to (I think leicester square the one with all the pubs/clubs surrounding it has been many moons since) and decided we needed to be in the pub at the opposite corner of the square so approx 12 of us got our peckers out and started waving them at the crowds of peeps who were packing the square like sardines. Lead by the fearless " joe " ( ex mob and the kind of bloke you really don't wanna argue with ) we proceeded across the square with people moving out of the way like the red sea ! only to be alerted to the fact that the bacon patrolling the square were on to us and closing in fast ! at which point it was zippers up and the most casual walking looking innocent attempt from all of us got away with it but almost had the lot of us nicked. Looking in hindsight try explaining to your bosses of a multi million pound diving contract why half of your divers can't make it into work the next day as they're in the cells at the local pig sty Almost being crushed by a 5 tonne gravel hopper when a dipsh!t crane driver banks the crane south instead of north, leaving a 1/2 ft deep dent in the aforementioned concrete unit where seconds before my head had been ( the whole job was done as if blind due to zero visibility ) glamorous huh ! Although it didn't happen to me personally, I know someone elses scariest moment of their lives occured when cutting through some gravel bags, he got to one of the "bags" and found out it had hair !! I swear to this day I've never seen anyone move so fast in their life he managed to get back to the metal pile we were using to ascend/descend in and climbed up the 9 -10 metres with full kit on and was out on the surface in under 30 seconds Props to the guy tho he went back in and tied a line off onto the body when the police showed up later on to haul it to the surface. Lastly but not least was the rat we saw on the way back to our digs just south of waterloo station, It was the size of a medium dog ! needless to say that myself and all the other divers ran away screaming like little girls ( you would have done too trust me until you see something like that your brain can't comprehend the terror levels involved with giant rats ) all in all a pretty eventful few months of my life
Carlos T
few of mine are skateboarding incidents. kind of an extreme sports nut. 1. putting my skateboard on the edge of a massive vert ramp and just standing there thinking uh oh here we go lol. 2. trying to grind a pole which was nice and high and knowing that if i fail i'm landing right on my nuts:blink: 3. skiing in Austria, hadn't been skiing long was pelting it down a slope with know one on it wondering why it was empty to find my self heading towards a massive drop didn't realise i'd kinda gone of track. also BORROWING;) a tea tray from a cafe on the mountain taking it up to the top and sitting on it and sliding down the mountain over taking skiers:yahoo: then heading of about a 15 foot drop and watching the tea tray fly of into the distance as i lay in pain lol. but here's hoping for many more scary moments. cossack
Not the scariest as it wasnt planned but definitely the unluckiest at the time Blown up in N.Ireland in 1992 whilst on patrol Funny thing I swapped sides of the road with a mate just prior to the alleyway, i walked past the alley way and took the blast, the mate was safe on the other side of the road in my original spot. living here for the last 37 years!
