Whats the Scariest thing you have ever done?

Looking back on life I discovered that I did some really risky/crazy things and I am probably lucky to still be here.

But the scariest thing I have ever done is jump off a 100ft cliff into the meditarranean sea without any harness or anything, and you had to precisely land into a 12ft gap between major rocks which to one side the rocks were upto waist level and to the other side the rocks were upto shoulder level if standing on them in the water.

To top it off the only platform to jump off was a tiny gap which could hardly fit my size 12 feet so had to tip toe on the edge looking down at near death. That was scary enough!

Anyway my friend and I decided to go for it as others did not want to do it and many on-lookers were waiting to see if we would do it.

My friend wanted to dive head first but I did not let me, that was just too crazy.

Anyway we did it and all I can say is that it was the scariest thing I have ever experienced. The feeling in your stomach hit my throat and luckily I landed in between the rocks. Yipee

Looking back it was a foolish/crazy thing to do and now gladly they have blocked the cliff edge with a warning barrier to not let anyone get to the edge.

I won't be doing that again.

I worked as a steeplejack, walking around the top of a chimney 700ft high, with no harness. My feet would try and grip the concrete rim beneath me through my boots, especially when it got windy. The rim was 2 ft wide, with a 700ft drop down each side... it scares me to think of it now

Holy S***

I know what you mean - when I think of jumping off that cliff and visualising standing there before I jumped off, I seem to lose my breath thinking about it.

Putting a paraglider into a controlled stall at 5000 feet and not managing to get it back under control until 2000 feet. I said out loud, the same word about 30 times at a rate of the word per second, and yes, it started with F.

Something else of note and apologies for being graphic, but I reckon my anus dilated to the size of a dinner plate and wasn't anything to do with the airflow up my rear :eyebrows: Thankfully I was scared sh*tless!

100ft cliff into 10ft of water

Ridiculously silly jumps as a kid. If i were to show u guys one in particular u wouldn't believe me. Noone tried it after me and i havent' done it since. Jumped from a 7ft garage around 15 ft over a 1.5ft wall, which had a .5ft mattress on it for a soft landing, onto slabs. I clipped the mattress on my way down, landed and went a further 10 ft on all fours along the slabs (you get the idea).

I don't scare easily at all. The only thing that has ever bothered me is heights. As a kid i climbed the highest tree's and did all the silly things i could to try and prove, to myself, that i could get over it. I never did, but it never stopped me.

Oh, just remembered one. We made a "death slide" from a very high tree to a lamp post when we were younger (my friends and i). It was great until we couldn't find anything suitable to slide down in but my mate handed me his jacket (Yes he was an idiot and even worse it was one of those rubber type jackets). I got around 4 feet from the start before the rubber started to melt, stuck to the rope and left me hanging. There was a loud crack and i plummeted around 20-25 feet to the ground. I was just about to sit up as the tree fell down less than 4 feet to my right.

That one took a bit of explaining.

waterfall jumping - slipping on black stuff on the rock, ended up going over the edge head first, completely uncontrolled....missing razor sharp rocks that only had 3 inches of water covering them, by about an 1 and a half...

coming face-to-face with a mora eel, whilst snorklying.

taking a load gun off someone that was having a heart attack a meter from me.

EDIT - and roller blading down a hill at 60kmph with very little protection  WTF was I thinking!!

Oh, i've been shot, stabbed and i lifted around 6 feet off of a spanish waterslide on a windy day also (super kamakazi for those who know it) Landing hurt like a bitch, ended up with attendants all around me speaking jibberish lol.

Just thought we were talking about intentional stuff lol

My first skydive.

Started an advanced freefall skydiving course (solos not tandems) about 6 months ago, on level 6 now out of a total of 8.(its took a while due to bad weather and lots of work meaning no free time :( )

Fear factor 'HOLYFUGGINSH*TWHATAMIDOINGTHISFOR' on my first 2 jumps but after my 5th jump I was starting to enjoy it a bit more, although AFF is like an exam on every single level which adds to the tension.

But it was a deal between myself and a good mate that we would complete it and get our A license so we have both stuck it out through good and bad!
