I think you need to get used to hoovering when you own a Mal.

thats for sure. they do shed quite a bit. suprising how much comes off them.

it does help that we have wood flooring and tiles in the kitchen.

hes for ever walking dirt through the house. lol

Are you anti-laminate?

On the Mal forum they all LOVE laminate and tiles, almost everyone on there has changed their carpet to hard floors. They claim that fluffy tumbleweeds are better than fluff sewn into carpet!

I'm not, well I'm not anti wood or anti tile, (I am anti laminate but that has nothing to do with dogs!) much easier than carpet for clearing up after dogs! But all the up their own arse I know better than you dog owners condemn you for having any hard surface floors with large breed dogs because they can slip etc.

I just think "well stop running about like I told you to 5 minutes ago".

I won't miss that Doberman he was a proper PITA.

Aww Raptor was lovely. Well when he wasn't about a mile ahead of you meeting and greeting everyone!

So has Stig settled down a bit now then? ;)

Stig was only every a mare when Raptor was there really, I don't remember what he was up to when you were there - what was he doing?

Plus he doesn't even look like a Doberman :D

I thought they both were lovely, but Raptor was definitely a handful wasn't he? He spent most of his time madly running around, with Stig in tow, after anything that moved and cr*pping everywhere IIRC! ;)

Lexi was a bit intimidated at first then, but she really chases off the bigger dogs nowadays. Its really funny to watch :)

Yes he's always like that, he never ever ever tires out. He still wets himself too

I love mals. Thats a nice looking one too.

Lovely looking pup, I have always fancied owning a Malamute, but it would be a totally unsuitable choice for where we live.

I must post some pics of the imprinted Emu we raised when he was rejected by his father, you wouldn't recognise it now, it all started in this thread:

WOW its still alive and ok then i take it? Is it back with his family or is it a loner now :D

Please do get some pics up.

sorry for the highjack:innocent:

He (or she, not sure yet) is absolutely fine, and a strapping bird, sadly it thinks Jane and I are its parents and other emus are to be fought or feared. It will just about sit on command and loves stroking, being picked up, and being hand fed. Sounds fun, but it could be a serious PITA as it gets bigger still. I am about 80% sure I could walk it free around the garden and it wouldn't try and *ugge* off. If that works out OK I'll take it down the pub, where a ban on dogs inside needs an imaginative sidetracking :) It's in with the kookaburras right now, they used to mob it, now they want a higher perch and life insurance.
