michael
Police have warned people against making "hoax or frivolous calls" after an on-stage prank by comedian Russell Brand directed at a crime hotline. The star rang the number during a performance in Northampton and said he had spotted a man who might be responsible for a series of assaults. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/7508863.stm Not the first time he's done it. Gaz6002
To be honest, although he has done something pretty silly I'd have to say he doesn't need locking up. It's just his show isn't it? It's the shock value that entertains. He should get a slapped wrist, but compared to some of the other things he's got up to this is small news IMO. tbourner
I also hate him, and always have. In fact, if my old Faceparty account hadn't been deleted from lack of use, I'm pretty sure it said I hated 'that camp bloke that does the big brother show', and that if I ever met him I'd probably 'punch him in the face the useless ponce'. Thorin
I love the way people hate him, and then proceed to write how he talks, oh the irony! Like a twat? He's not funny and has been doing the same routines for years, since he used to interview drugged up clubbers on some late night TV thing. bolarbag
He should become an MP...I reckon he'd get more votes than Geo Brown! We yearn to dis-like MP's why not vote someone in we dis-like from the beginning, its much a muchness!!

stevie_b
It's not technically his fault (is it?), but I can imagine other people copying what he's done, thinking it's funny. What if he were to phone the fire brigade and make hoax calls about house fires? The hilarity of it... my sides are splitting
