marbleapple
Evening all. I got my new supra home today and I have probably one of the loudest (and most annoying) exhausts in the world. There would be no exaggeration if I said people 6 streets away could hear me. What I want to know is 1. What exhaust is it? – there is no identifying marks etc and secondly if I replace the bit in the photos (is it called the back box?) will this make the car quieter? P.s. - Apologies about how dirty it is... the whole car needs a very big clean.
hadyn
Kind of looks like a Tanabe Super Medallion Racing - but I'm not sure Had one on my old Supra. Awesome IMO.

Rich
looks similar to an RSR to me
hadyn
Thanks. Did it rattle windows and prevent you from actually hearing your radio? Erm no. Was very loud though Does your exhaust sound like this? Also, I think RSR zorsts have the badge stamped on the side of back box.
RedM
looks similar to an RSR to me I thought that.

RedM
When you getting another Supra Martin? I'd like to say sooner rather than later but with no imminent pay-rise and no luck with a job change plus the whole way this country is going re: high performance cars I think I might never get one! That was a hell of a sentence, wasn't it?
matt k
I've just realised, the ultra medallion is titanium and therfore shouldn't rust, so i presume it's not one of them.
marbleapple
hi guys. Thanks for the replies. On the iPhone ATM so will listen to the video in the morning. Don't think the exhaust is really rusting, just dark around the welds (or is this rusting?) Can anyone recommend a quiet exhaust?
Nic
looks similar to an RSR to me It does look like an RS*R http://www.rs-r.co.jp/products/muffler/gtsports/images/top.jpg
Homer
I'm pretty sure thats not an RSR, the angle of the silencer and welds are in different places. It looks similar to the BL, but the pipe out the back appears to be 3inch. The Tannabe posted above also looks like a good match
Nic
Can anyone recommend a quiet exhaust? marbleapple
It does look like an RS*R http://www.rs-r.co.jp/products/muffler/gtsports/images/top.jpg That does look similar, although there is no badge on mine. I presume this one is louder than most? EDIT: Just seen Homers post... Shows what I know! Btw Nic, you were right about the alloys, they are Works. Burna
I too was thinking RS*R, but something just doesn't exactly match up, can't put my fingert on it sorry.
MarkR
Not RSR, the inside looks different on mine and this looks bigger.
Chris Wilson
Nic, I take it the Blitz Touring comprises more than just that back box? Cheers. As a wild off topic, if get a mo, can you see if you have any outlets for spares over there for Iseki Garden Tractors (ride on mower, model SG15) please? Spares are a fortune in the UK, and i would like to refurb this mower Cheers.
