SuperSupra
I know I know it's rubbish, but I've tried many times to get a standard NA airbox with no joy, and besides, I'm selling soon so.... I need a new filter as my current one is minging. Which one do I need does anyone know the model number? It's the green mushroom thing. 200mm wide, but the only ones I have seen found to be flat???? Any ideas?
colsoop
They come flat but in a circular shape you then mould them in to the cage. The cage comes off via the HKS logo'd button at the front (unscrew to remove the cage)
Nic
I can supply a new filter element if needed. http://www.hks-power.co.jp/products/intake/spf_maint/img/3l.gif
jamesmark
Why do you have to buy a new one of these? Why not spend a little more and buy an Apexi? especially when you knwo it is so bad for your engine. Have you asked in the wanted section for a N/A box? As not seen any threads lately and I am Jezz will probably have one in stock

I've found some on the net, but if you're cheaper I may just take on from you, unless I find an airbox.....
jamesmark
An Apexi induction kit is only appx £130 so not a lot cash at all.

Mate not meaning to be rude, but not everyone has £130 to splash out on something like that. That is actually a lot of money to spend on something you don't really need. I've not asked in about a year to be honest, I've not been on here much so may have missed loads, but last time I asked, I bumped it 2-3 times and still got no replies..... Hopefully I'll find one this time then!

Hopefully I'll find one this time then! Yeah, there's a lot more around now with all the write offs and TT conversions going on. I think I paid £20 for an entire NA induction system and all the ducts.

Have you asked in the wanted section for a N/A box? As not seen any threads lately and I am Jezz will probably have one in stock Sorry if this is a daft question, but what exactly is bad for the engine? Are you referring to the HKS kit or the standard NA box James?
hoff
The HKS filter doesn't really filter that well. Also you need a good heat shield around them to help prevent hot air from the engine getting sucked in and therefore lowering performance.
jamesmark
As above, I am refering to the HKS filter as they are a bag o sh!te.
Stevo
Ah....I see. The HKS was on my car when I got it and now needs a new filter too. Got to spend some money on brake stuff though, so the £130 for the Apexi will have to wait and I'll make do with a new filter.
Stevo
Useful to know for the future though. Cheers.
