Does salt actually do it? Normal salt? How much? Will it leak into surrounding areas and maybe even into the water table and downhill? Anything else? Would really like some permanent weed killer too! I don't fancy letting off a small nuclear device if I can help it. Anything strongly acid or alkali...? as far as i new if you threw a match on diesel it wouldnt burn would it??? diesel engines need to heat the diesel inorder for the glow plugs to make use of it. glow plugs are used and not spark plugs as the spark doesnt light it.......... Erm, not really..... Diesel engines use the glow plugs to warm up the initial bit during starting. SBK is a broad spectrum killer, but not really meant for widespread spraying. I thought I remembered that this stuff was pretty good, and the name sounded ominous too I assume it'll take a few days before I see any results. I've also got a lance type flame thrower that runs off a can of gas. That was quite good fun, but the weeds just come back after a week or so! tbourner Posted July 15, 2008 Author Share Posted July 15, 2008 The area is only about 5 sq m I think, it's planned to be decked but we haven't got the time or money for it at the moment, so it'll probably be next year - but it's all been levelled and is now just growing weeds and I can't be bothered to keep attending it - just want to kill them and be done with it!! I think Gallup is such a clone, I bought some cloned stuff last week, about 78 quid or less than 5 litres. But that'll do acres. I am sure you can get smaller amounts, the brand of te one I got escapes me without looking, prices vary, I get the best value at the time, they are al glyphosphate (spelling?) based.
