garethr
I'm changing my j-spec brakes to UK set up (fronts only at this stage). I have received the quote, but the guy tells me I may need carriers for the calipers. What are they and can I use my j-spec ones? The J-spec brakes have a carrier which bolts to the hub, then the caliper bolts to pins which slide into the carrier. The "UK" brakes bolt directly to the hub. Sound as if you need to double-check that he's quoting for the correct calipers.

Thanks mate, yeah he has just replied saying he misquoted me - So the UK will fit j-spec hubs then mate?

They are the same for both brakes, your current ones will fit but worth upgrading to decent quality stainless steel ones.
Nic
Hmmm forgot about hoses, was maybe thinking of going Steel ones - around @£50 on e-bay iirc Make sure the are quality stainless steel lines, you definitely don't want a brake line failure due to cheap quality Goodridge do good quality SS lines at a reasonable price.
