Rich
My friend decided it to be a good idea to connect the battery terminals the wrong way round The main 120a fuse in the engine bay has blown.I have replaced this bt now there are no ign lights with the key turned two clicks, the alarm also doesnt seem to be functioning at all:rolleyes: Really pissed off to say the least! Checked all the other fuses in the engine bay and in the drivers footwell and all seems ok.Anybody have any ideas? thanks Rich

I have no functioning alarm and no ign lights, got a feeling he has blown a fuse somewhere else, maybe an alrm fuse that cuts power to the ign? Chris Wilson
Doing that almost invariably blows the igniter box. Surprisingly Toyota saw fit not to give it reverse polarity protection. The alarm may also well not like reverse polarity, whether that will stop it starting I don't know, but a blown igniter box will.

Thanks Chris,I'll have to check if the ignitor pack works on a friends car. Hopefully the alarm is'nt fubarred. Still wandering why I have no ign lights? The battery is working fine.
