Error code 14 ignition signal/missfire

Last night my car was missfireing badly.

To note:

It only does it on high boost (wot after 4/5k rpm).

It felt very like fuel cut it was missing for that long, im sure it was probably only half a second but its the kettle boiling idea. Once it came back to life it felt like the back kicked out everso slightly!

I have denso iridium ik24's (the BPU ones) that are about 9 months old with about 4k on them. I replaced the previous set that had less than 8k on them again due to a missfire, which seemed to solve the problem

No work has been done to the car since being fine to missing

The Error code only popped up after I left the motor way to slow on a slip road. After a reboot it hasn't returned but only drove 5 miles home without WOT.

I have found the procedure to sorting this problem here but I feel this maybe a little beyond me. Can anyone recommend what to do next? I have had a search but it is follow the linked procedure and that is about it

I was thinking replace all of my coil pack clips, changing the plugs.

Advice and igniter packs welcome! :)

Check all your plugs on your coils are fitted tight

Went out to pop some new sparkers in, went to pop the second coil pack clip/connector off and it came off far too easily. Its missing the side bit that locks it on (has been like it since day one). I expect that was the problem?

Time for a drive tonight.
