If they make a 550-700hp VNT turbo I will be in.

It will need a management ecu for it as well, but for me this is the last link in the type of car we use.

I have never driven a porsche, but have heard that they are almost lagless... no wastegate either.

Exciting stiff, please let us know about supply and prices when you hear Nic...

ps, do you have a clear shot of the info board behind it?

Actually, just done some reading. Doesn't sound that simple!

They have to work with wastegates and the mapping looks very complex, if possible at all. Something new for ryan to get his teeth into?

guy from australia seems to know his stuff.

They were also looking at electric motor assist on turbo's which actually looks like a really good idea.

Nic, why do you show me these things 2 days after I transfer you a load of cash :)

I suspect they are a long way off being put into production, especially the VNT turbo.

The new T62R BB will be a big lag monster that you'd be able to run rings around at legal speed limits with the GT35R ;)

:yeahthat: Is anyone doing anymore stuff for the VVTi head that you know of Nic, Cam wise? Still trying to decide whether to get the Valcon 264 or revert to a non VVTi head, i like my torque though :(

AFAIK there's only the HKS Valcon Plus VCam Kit Pro, Greddy V-manage or Power Enterprise CamCon, that will allow the VVTi to be controlled.

  • 3 months later...
prices, power, manifold compatibility etc

Do you want price for a complete kit of just the turbo?

The turbo uses a V-band manifold flange the same as the T51, so can fit the same HKS manifold.

HKS has achieved over 1000hp on a 3.4L stroked 2JZGTE.

Looks like some nice figures there but seems odd being on V-band. HKS seem to have a strange mentality to selling parts on kits and not stand alone. For example I need to get hold of the 4.5" V-Band exit flange style exhaust and I cant get it anywhere. Also struggling to get hold of just a 4.5" weld on flange so I can get a custom exhaust make.

Narrowing their sales potential springs to mind.
