SilverSoop
It's sounds like you're deep into grief, it's a funny thing, but in time the memories that pain you now will be such a source of joy in years to come, Hang in there bud Im trying mate, i really am... Its just that 3 days ago, he got up onto the kitchen side and helped himself to my lunch! And now he's gone! Just remember, he's probably scratching gods leg right now and loving every second. He'll be chasing jesus round like a mouse in a minute! He's in a better place fella. Well, im glad that he's not suffering anymore, if he is chasing Jesus around, he'll definetely start to p*** him off soon because thats all my cat used to do... Very small fluffy things have very special powers. Maybe next weekend then! p.s you didn't upset me Group hug Well thats alright then... AndrewOW
So very sorry about your sad news. My girlfriend's cat, Murphy, had to be put to sleep last year with a serious heart defect. He was only 7. Lovely big tuxedo cat too. She now has his ashes in a little casket, and also had a tattoo done on her arm in remembrance. Its very sad to lose anyone close to you, and the loss of a pet feels just as bad. Time's a great healer, and when you're ready you may think about getting a new kitten. We decided to get a Jack Russell, and she's just great company. Well we do, our other cat has other ideas though! Hope you feel a bit better about it in time. jevansio
Thanks Jevansio... When I lost Mulan I was like you, nobody could console me, I thought nobody had gone through this pain It may feel strange, but now I can look at Mulan's ashes & laugh, cry, shout at her as if she were in the room with me, nobody has hurt me as much as her, but time is a great healer What you are feeling is normal, don't rush the grieving process

This may sound morbid so forgive me but the last thing i vividly remember was when he died, his eyes were wide open and i couldnt help but look into his lifeless eyes, that just set me off and it was just so final, you know... SilverSoop
Give it a day or two, you'll be remembering her with golden memories with no hint of sadness I hope so mate i really do because atm, its just all negative... Ive tried to remember happy times but those turn straight into sadness... The other thing which isnt helping is that, when Holly done his business on the floor, it smells of dettol which just reminds me of him. Just everything does. There's no way you can "force" the grieving process, it's one of those things you just have to "live through". So you keep thinking of her, why should that be a bad/sad thing? So what if you feel sad when you think about her, it's normal, that's what grieveing is all about. She isn't sad, she's in heaven running about catching mice. Remember feeling sad isn't a bad thing!
