TTRickeh
I had my car up on the ramps the other day just having a wee nosey about my new car when I stumbled across this: Oil On further investigation it seems to be coming from around the oil filter area. I took a picture looking directly up from underneath the engine, i've marked out where the leak seems to be coming from and where the oil filter is for reference: My oil level is about halfway between min and max and doesn't seem to be going down in a hurry and I haven't noticed any drips under my car, so I think this has been a bit more of a gradual process. Anyway, what are your opinions? Is there a gasket in there I can shuffle about/replace to stop this, or should I just leave it be etc? Here's a couple more pics of under my car if anyone's interested: Cheers, Ricky.

Dr_Doom
I've got my own oil leak now after seeing that picture!!... Man oil!! edit - Have you checked that the oil filter is screwed on tightly? It might be worth changing it for how much they cost then you can rule it out. TTRickeh
Aww booo that's no fun. I thought there was a good technical to babe photo ratio. Apologies... I gave the area a bit of a clean, i'll see if it's still leaking when I can get back up to my mates work to get it on the ramp. I imagine it would be as the oil looked fairly fresh. I'll check the filter's on tight then, I don't know if that'd explain why it looks like it's coming from the red circled area though. I suppose it might be dripping down from the filter onto there. Scooter
worth checking the oil pressure sensor area IMO, its the same side as the fliter assembly, screwed into the block but nearer the front of the engine, tucked behind the aircon compessor.
