tDR
pmsl at the comments (including Matt H's 10's ) I was itching for another go against the R35.... unfortunately I did an uncharacteristically wank 12.4 against Jurgen - there was a whole period during the day where I just couldn't hook up properly and against him was the first of those runs! I think it coincided with when Pod actually did anything prep wise with the track - my first run was an 11.68 and I couldn't get back there right 'til the end of the day following the bikes running. I finally ran my 11.5 (my personal goal) - an 11.580 @ 114.78 MPH with a 1.64 sec 60ft time. Just did the online calculator on Monkey's thread and apparently that means my 0 - 60 MPH time is 2.95 seconds I was suitably over the moon and am still on a high from today's racing. Finally taking that record means a lot to me and I can now retire from drag racing a happy man and go circuit racing like I used to! Big thanks to the organisers - I played a back seat role considering I was all about the racing today and without the other mods the day wouldn't have turned out half as good. Big thanks to Steve too for sorting the payments etc. beforehand - meant everything went smoothly on the day Good to meet you JamieP and thanks very much for the runs - I couldn't believe how close we were on our runs especially the 2nd one I kept waiting for you to come steaming down on me and breeze by but was amazed I just nudged it!!! Big congrats on getting into the 11's consistently m8 it's good to see, same goes for Jon (Pig) again it was real close and I think I spurred him on into the 11's too! Same scenario I got the jump and just managed to hold on to it Also a special mention to Ryan G for looking over my DIY mapping - it was brilliant validation because I've had no real guidance other than what I thought and Ryan gave me some good pointers and encouragement along with a loan of his sophisticated knockbox to check for det each time I got experimental with my ignition timing in the quest for better times! Thanks Ryan
tDR
awesome event - well done to all.. by the way TDR told me he had x2 BIG HKS turbos That rumour did the rounds quick - Gaz was checking for them when I was in the pits after an 11.7 run!!! DamanC
... oh and Daman managed a 23 second pass at the end too Mike Warm up.... honest ....with a 'gofaster' wave too! In my defence, after my 'warm up', I spunked a 12.9 out thinking it would be in the 13's. 1.15 BAR peak. I was pleasantly surprised, its no 12.8 but it makes me think that I can creep below it. Bring on next year!

Me: "Thanks!" Some Geezer: "So how fast is that 0 - 60 then?" Me: "In the 2 second bracket" Some Geezer: /falls off chair You can see you already make some back on me at the 1/8th marker then - I was 7.34 @ 94.65 MPH. Great to meet you too at last m8, good to put faces to names / forum tags! Thanks very much on the car guys. I can now put to rest the doubts over what me and the car can do - the usual story of people don't believe it 'til they see it with their own eyes. Even then I think people are shocked because of how my car looks going down the strip lol

Guest Deano H
Great day guys and gals, tried so many times to beat 15secs in my n/a manual but had to settle for 15.04 which isn't too bad but would have been chuffed to break that 15sec barrier.
