:(

If you want to sell your place on gaz, please feel free - I'd need your nod you've been paid, and the new person to PM me with: reg, age, car details (make/model as they're not all Supras) and their proper name.

Same goes for any more changes, there seem to have been a LOT recently. :p

Just a thought (I'm sure far to late to do something about) :Pling:

I've just remembered what I thought would make the day lots better at last years event.

A loud speaker system with someone announcing who was running (and if special, what was under the bonnet) times etc.

Most of us will see masses of cars running and not have a clue who they are.

It would be really interesting to know who the nice chaps on here was and what they drove.

That's a good idea. As said earlier a list of reg's is known of who is running, it's just needs a member who's up on most members cars, and of course permission from Santa Pod to use there commentary box.

I will get that added to the ideas for next year.

We have not gathered up specs this year so we cant do announcements about them.

We do have reg plates and peoples names though so we may be able to sort something. perhaps we needed Tom with the loud hailer in the grandstand shouting out the names.

Maybe next year.

Late morning will be fine.

So to make sure everyone is clear, we will have a list of who has pre-paid. When you arrive we will check your car reg against that list and check you have the right number of people in the car.

If you are participating then remember your license!

Please remember that this is a club event and we will be trying to keep the general public out. This didn't cause a problem last year but if you haven't pre-paid then please bring along your membership card or a copy of your membership confirmation (here) especially if you're not in a Supra. Also, if you have any guests that are arriving at a different time to you then please give them a copy of your membership confirmation so we can quickly identify who they are with and prevent any holdups at the gate.

See you all there. :)

Do competitors have to be there for any time? I might not be able to get until late morning.

Will be late ish morning for me as well.

Don't forget, there is a FAQ :p

http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showpost.php?p=2029251&postcount=3

Q6: Does it matter if I arrive late?

A6: No, there should be someone on the gate to let you in, and participants can sign on any time after 9:30am, except over the lunch break.

Another thing, if you can bring the correct money then that will speed things up enormously. We will have a float of fivers but given cash points don't dispense five pound notes any more we might have a problem if everyone turns up with only tenners and twenties!

ok so don't forget:

  • driving license (participants - without it you won't get to race)
  • membership card or membership page printout (everyone)
  • £5 exact (per head, for those paying on the gate)

Also, can any members with non-member mates coming along in other cars please make sure that you arrive together so we know to let them in.

FAQ and other info is here. Any other questions, just post up.

If anyone wants to take advantage of any last minute participant drop-outs, let me know or post up here.

Has anyone got a small generator they could bring and loan for the day, that could use to power the DJ's setup/booth?

There is power available, we're just not sure if it'll be where we want it to be so the more options we have, the better! :)

TIA,

Steve

well Im just setting off now to go to my parents. They live local to Pod. The car is loaded to the gunnels with gazeebos, chairs, lanyards (obviously not taking that much space..), gazeebo weights, a printer and so on.

So expect to see me going very slowly up the M1.

I should be back on line later, but otherwise I will see you all at Pod tomorrow.

Heres hoping its a good one.

I'll be there with the setup I used at Ace Cafe - it's not mega loud, but I'd need van for the only other speakers I have!

What I can do though is hook up a display to my system - I have a small screen (22" I think) that I could bring. This screen could be used to display running information and so forth if it's provided to me...

I'm more annoyed that I won't be running in the Supra because some stupid garage messed me around with a tiny bit of welding...

Sorry (no time to read all thread) but Spectators... Members or friends of members only i presume? No Joe Public?

Spectators need to be club members, or WITH (i.e. in the same car or in a car immediately behind) a club member who will vouch for them being of club spirit and not a pikey chav. ;)
