I'm liking the attention to detail :) Are you sure the Twins water neck won't work, or were you just being safe rather than sorry? And do you plan to shroud your radiator fan setup?

Great work so far!

Im sure the twins water neck mod would work just fine but i prefer this billet one, no plans to shroud the fans, Lee has had the same setup on his car for a long time with good results, if it turns out they are not for me then i will just go back to a stock fan setup.:)

Oh, I'm sure your current fan setup will work well over here - mine is pretty similar and unshrouded, and holds up well to the Australian summer ;). I do like the billet water neck too (I'm always a fan of good-quality, well considered custom work :D).

Great work Lee/Jamie. A couple of questions -

1. Did you make up the power steering lines yourself or get them done for you (if so where)?

2. Will you wire in a thermo switch/sensor for the fans?

Cheers

The power steering pipes are just 10mm push on hose, so easy to do.

The fans will be controlled by the ecu but with an overide switch in the car. :)

These fans dont need a shroud, smaller fans maybe but I find that it restricts the airflow at high speed.

I had my filter there, after a while it was covered in mud, ended up moving it back into the bay & going to do a cold air box, you have an oil cooler to protect it don't you Jamie?

It does get a little dirty there (no mud has ever been on it, just a little road grime) ive changed it a few times, normally when i do the oil, every two or three thousand miles, id rather have the cold air.

Not sure if I'm following your logic there - I thought the shroud was to ensure the maximal airflow through the radiator?

Are you saying that because electric fans don't change speed at higher RPM (unlike the clutch fan) that at higher road speeds they become a greater resistance, requiring an alternative airpath?

Thanks!

Are you having the holes in the inner wings where all the clips went filled and Painted..

Is that a polished aux tensioner or just a new stock item the wheel seems like the 1 ive just ordered from Dusty.

The aux tensioner is iron as standard so that will be aftermarket, I just ordered one from Titan the bottom one is alloy and can be polished though.

If you have a look at the AAP kit, the shroud is designed to aid the fans efficiency. When you are driving the car the fans are not required and the shroud can restrict the airflow through the rad.

The tensioner is stock polished, the arm is aftermarket. :)

That's a neat solution to rotating the lower water pipe. Saves using a rotator plate TwinsTurbo.

Yeah works really well, I looked at the rotation plate but couldnt see it working on a RHD car so came up with this instead.

Same system I'm running nice work.

Popped over to see it Sunday all coming together nicely with the wire/ABS free setup, very clean looking engine bay. Looking forward to the SRR day :)

Hard to say, i think its the first one in the uk (Billet 6765H dbb) Yanks are making silly numbers on race fuel and 2 bar, im only gonna do an esso 97 map, anything over 600 and im happy.

And here's me hoping I can get close to 600 :D I'd expect alot more from yours Jamie. You going for 2 bar again when its built?

Im not gonna speculate otherwise i may be disappointed;) not long till mapping now, if it dont perform how i want i will go to a bigger turbo.

Im not gonna bother with a race fuel map again.

I see you over ther then?? christ i'll be happy with 550 once ryan's done mate. Im sure yours will be well over what your thinking with the mods uv done. :D
