EdMorris
All black look is very stealthy and ideal for the winter as I suppose they'll take less looking after. Sienna's are lovely though and better for glinting in the (rare) sunshine. I like the idea of two sets of wheels.
JamieP
I cant believe the difference in traction between the sienna with the 888's and the racing harts with the p-zero's, same size wheels and tyres but with the p-zero's the car has NO grip whatsoever, i can light the tyres up in 3rd gear and can feel it squirming for grip in 4th. Them 888's are an amazing tyre, no wheel spin at all with them on the car.

Your right there, my car was a undriveable animal with Yoko's on it, bunged the Toyo 888's on and it hooks up in 3rd now, anyone running a 500+bhp Supra should have these fitted, for the summer anyway. Daston
how long do you think those R888's will last for? Thinking of getting a set for mine but a little worried about grip in the wet with a light car and low down torque

Jamesy W
I think it looked a lot classier with the Siennas. Got a much more expensive look about them, not that the black looks rubbish..........maybe just a bit too much black if you know what I mean? supragold
Hmmmm, so you think pzeros are really that bad in comparison? Do they do 888's in 315 35 18's cause i'm running on Pzeros and can never lay the power down? I think they're 35profile. Edit:- just seen 315 30 18's. Might have to invest Edited September 29, 2008 by supragold (see edit history)

vase
Can you guys tell me what would be a good place to order those tires from the uk? It's quite hard to find r888 from here in Finland. I also need traction badly since I don't want my tires to spin on the freeway.
JamieP
Give http://www.camskill.co.uk/products.php?plid=m12b0s0p0&gclid=CK_3qMe3gZYCFRoVEAodgW3DFA a try.
Marty
I'm liking the black wheels Looks better IMO. I have avon z1's on the back of mine, 265s, and i really struggle to light them up, even in 2nd gear, good in the wet too.
Paul Whiffin
I've always got loads of part worn 18" R888's available, they only do about 10 - 15 laps so have very little wear on them, let me know if you need any. Ta
JamieP
Out of interest why change them so often? do they overheat and go hard or something?
Paul Whiffin
Out of interest why change them so often? do they overheat and go hard or something? When they are brand new they will give more grip on there first heat cycle, after that they just stay constant until worn out. Doesn't make any odds for a road car but when your trying to squeeze out as much time as possible on one lap it all helps!
Luxluc
Regarding the semi-slicks : how do they drive on the road (not on track) when temperature is below 15°C. Is it hard to get them on the right temp - and do they keep the temp easily? So far, I have Pirelli P7000 tires on my Supe ... above 20° C, they have proper grip in 3rd (only spin in 1st and 2nd) ... but last week-end, they spinned in 3rd and on some road surfaces even in 4th (7°C outside temp). I have my Michelin Pilot sports cup tires (semi-slicks) in my garage which will be fitted during winter time ... as I would also like to floor my Supe in 2nd (on straights) without having to pay attention if no car is driving on the other side of the road
JamieP
Ive only tried them in the summer but so far they have been great even from cold. Edited September 29, 2008 by JamieP (see edit history)

JamieP
Hasn't the car just had a makeover?! Not really, that was just the drive train mainly. Its having a full glass out respray. Black suede and leather retrim. Sienna split rims refurbed. Finish off the engine bay, install inlet manifold, install jun cams and cam wheels plus general tidy up of the bay including some powder coating etc. Edited October 5, 2008 by JamieP (see edit history)
