marbleapple
...they would make one like SupraShaun (http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/member.php?u=15395) A couple of weeks ago I started a thread asking for the details of a reputable web designer after the 2nd web designer in 3 months went AWOL. Shaun was recommended to me by Ryan.G. In the space of 2 weeks Shaun not only utterly rebuilt and redesigned my website but also went out of his way to teach me how things work and even provided extra web services without extra cost (i.e. he set up my hosting with fasthosts, transfered my entire mailing list, created 2 'special' pages that i can use on eBay etc). I have been so impressed by the quality of work, the speed in which the work was done, the superb communication and general service provided by Shaun that I will be recommending him to a few clients of mine and would be more than happy to recommend him to any other member on here. In summary.... cheap price (£300 for a new site with in built news letter, shop and fully changeable content), superb workmanship, superb communication and above all, he keeps his promises. I just wanted to say a huge Thank You to Shaun for the superb work he has done on my site http://www.marbleapple.co.uk. Ric (P.s. Apologies if the site looks a bit empty, I still have to add stock (and words) to the site as well as getting the .com to point to the new site.) (p.p.s It's the 2nd time that a member on here has done something for me and again I am more than pleased. It is nice to see the superb club spirit at work!) Gerry
Interesting... I'm about to sign on the dotted for a new site that will cost well over a grand ! I did one myself : http://www.simpsons1979.co.uk but it's very simple as I'm deffo not a "techi". I need a more upmarket one and one that's optimised for the search engines. Just out of interest what do you know about an RSS feed linked to other sitea as a way of helping optimisation ?
MrRalphMan
Looking good. Was not having the prices on the models in the shop view a decision you made? To ensure more people click on the items?
marbleapple
Looking good. Was not having the prices on the models in the shop view a decision you made? To ensure more people click on the items? Well the choice of model changes every time some one visits the page (or refreshes). Eventually I plan to have about 300+ models, many of which will be rare. As for getting people to visit, its a bit of a funny market since 1960's Matchbox are not exactly common and thus I never seem short of buyers. Very nice site! 2 Questions: Do you sell Supra models? Do you buy models? I can sell Supra models but I would have to source them for you. I have thought about getting some stock and approaching people here (with mod permision etc). Yes I do buy models of any type. Just to clarify though, the website is for 1950-1970's Matchbox Lesney toys though. I need a more upmarket one and one that's optimised for the search engines. I'd speak to Shaun and get a quote if I were you. I went though companies 1st of all and get messed around. Promises to call back, promises for xyz to be done etc.... Shaun not only replied to every email but kept his promises which is pretty rare these days!

carl0s
Looks tidy, and great price! Minor complaint: On my firefox3/linux, the Contact Us text is wrapping around to the next line. marbleapple
Does he repair keyboards too? I don't know... as already posted in another thread, my mum does have a sticky E. £300? Good grief, the guy really must have nothing better to do to give you all that for £300. I was thinking more along the lines of.... he is a nice bloke not wanting to rip a fellow club member off, but your point works just as well!
