JustGav
Your approach sounds like Gavs - you understand the implications and act to keep the traditional aspects in place. How long before this outlook is seen as "old school" though? Hahaha, Mel and I do consider our approach old school... If it is sunny, go out and play... Scott
This conversation actually has me thinking of "Demolition Man" with Sly. I would like to think that it would never go that far. To be fair the Internet is still relatively new as far as technology goes. Maybe this is just the surge of excitement? However, maybe this is just the beginning.... look at Television & Games consoles. I hope we don't end up a nation of "yes men". There are so many clichet's of America that i keep thinking of but the worrying thing is i don't think we are that far from our children having to search Google to find out what country Scotland is in. R Black
Gaz, what i was saying was kids were much more in touch with the outside world & communicating face to face, hence more socially aware of peoples feelings around them, maths was doable without scientific aid, they would happily read as opposed to using the bible "wiki" patience & tolerance was more normal as was family life, ok old school We will all end up with implants wired from within in the not too distant future & then become part of technology, this is evolution love it or have it. If that happens, I for one will be breaking down the door of Parliament to protest about it. It's a short leap from that to being a completely automated society. It seriously makes me wonder what kind of world our kids will grow up in.
