Kevin Huntley
Hi Guys, could any of you fellow Supra owners who have replaced there stock front carpet give me a step by step guide to this operation? What should I look out for, are there any pitfalls to avoid? What tools will I need to remove the seats/trim? Any help would be greatly received? Cheers

Kevin Huntley
Eyefi:- I am hopefully replacing it with a second hand carpet or I am going to stump up the cash and by a new one, although they are very expensive.
Sharpie
I asked Toyota to quote for a new carpet as, I have a patch were it looks like bleach has been spilt and eroded the carpet. However, I can cover it with the passengers floor mat for the mo. Toyota wanted £1k with a three week wait from Japan. Then another couple of hundred to fit it. I decided that with my first grand, I will make her go faster rather than change the carpet!
Jeff R
Hi Kevin I have just seen your post on replacing your carpet. I have a J spec n/a 93 supra auto. and when i got it the carpet was really badly stained so i took it out to try and replace it but i found it was in one piece and is moulded to the shape of the floor pan, it also has foam sound proofing moulded to it.I tried all kinds of carpet cleaner to get the stains out but nothing would touch them. I had some interior spray in my garage so i tryed it on a small piece of carpet i had, and it looked good so i sprayed the supra carpet with it and it looks as good as new. I got the spray from Hallfords it's called Foliatec Interior colorspray and cost £15 a can, i used two cans. As for removal it took me about half an hour with no problems, five bolts to remove each seat unplug the wires for seat belts and electric motors(drivers side) then remove centre console philips screws.plastic strips on the sill's just pull off, undo two bolts for seat belts and out it comes. If you send me your E mail address i can send you some photos.
JamesG
I'm trying to get lots of photos together of various supra modifications and I'd be happy to host your pictures on my website. Any chance you could email them to me? Cheers, James. [email protected]
Kevin Huntley
Thanks for the advice guys! I stripped out all the interior yesterday in an hour. I think you just have to be bold when it comes to plastic trims and just remove them. Rousey:- Did you re-spray your carpet a different colour with that follitec colourspray or is it a cleaning product? Cheers
Jeff R
Yes, it was grey when i got it and i sprayed it black. that was about four month's ago i use the car every day to get to work and back and it still looks good.
