RedSZ
Hi I do about 15K a year in my TT and am thinking about going down the decat route. Has anyone done big mileage post- decat? I know there's plenty of TT's out there that have done 100K+ but are any of them BPU? Will there be reliability issues? Any advice/opinions welcome
CJ
No problem at all. Up until my single conversion, I did about 25k miles in by BPU Supra
tbourner
Mine runs fine every day, work and back is no hassle, any more than 500bhp and you might start getting 'tired' of driving it but a measly 400 is fine for daily use!!
merckx
Doing a BPU will make it more responsive, give you more power and it will sound so much better. You don't have to use the extra power all of the time so unreliability shouldn't be an issue.
Aerotop Dave
Yes, that's the key thing - you're only straining it when you've got your foot down. What with you being an auto you can just trundle about keeping it off turbo 2 (or do what I do and keep it off turbo 1 as well all the way to work and back!) It's such a basic mod that if there was a history of problems then everyone wouldn't be doing it.
