RobSheffield
I am a bit concerned about RPS clutches after all the talk of them 'welding' Is it an isolated incident, related to driving style, or is it only on Nissan 180/200SX's?
JamieP
Give me a couple of weeks and i will test it to the limit:D im sure they are ok, Gaz has had one in his car and it took a couple of years of abuse including trackdays and suprapod. RobSheffield
I was going to go for the 6 puck, potentially with the RPS fly, but now im not so sure, also, RPS fly im not sure about because of transmission noise

gaz1
i have the rps fitted with the rps segmented flywheel and yes its a noisy bugger, but with the stock fly it was very quite:rolleyes:

Mike B
Yea i think i remember TerryS mentioning a mod that sorted that, what clutch does mikeb have? Ferra-metalic, not sure what make. It's strong, pedal pressure light and Terry did something to the slave cylinder so the bite point is right at the end of the travel. Pedal pressure is light.. but despite what terry says the bite is aggressive, and those who have not driven the car before struggle. Chris wilson is probably the one to ask an opinion of it, as I have only had one horror clutch, and this one is better but no where near stock. csa
Must say I'm very happy with the twinplate exedy, it's almost noisefree (except a very low rpm), it bites hard when you need it and is easy to drive in traffic. I had the same exedy model, but trippleplate in my old car, and it was as noisy as fighting cats on a tin roof
