suprattgaz
Hi, Does anyone have the information for setting up the TRD diff correctly? I can't seem to find it (ie: backlash, torque figures, end float etc.) Mine seems to be too stiff and not allowing the inner wheel to turn slower on corners, giving the rear a kick/skip as it turns. Thanks, G
Chris Wilson
The preload in the LSD part is pre set and effectively not adjustable. None of the pinion bearing preload, tooth contact pattern or side bearing preload figures are different when you fit a TRD LSD to stock. A plate type LSD is designed to try and equalise wheel torques, yours sounds as if it's doing exactly what TRD intended. The wrong type of oil may alter breakaway preload on the plates of the LSD itself though.

Chris Wilson
Yep, they are in the manual. If you haven't got them maybe someone with a working x=scanner can copy the pages? My scanner pegged out a while ago, sorry.
