Lurch
Hello, I'm after buying a 500bhp+ supra auto and want to get it converted to manual. I've found Jezz that'll do that for me but He'll obviously change the ECU. My question is, will it be ok to drive a single turbo'd highly moddified supra on the standard ecu? Just for a while, until I got it remaped? Or even, does anyone know of a tuning shop near Jezz that'll do the remap for me? Cheers
NeoMagic
Don’t drive it, it will be lean as hell and break very quickly.
Lurch
O dear. What can I do then? Any ideas?
RobSheffield
Buy an aftermarket ECU. If you are buying a single, then the cost of an ECU is but a drop in the ocean to the running costs
lockys96
its not highly modified if it has a stock ecu, its very badly modified (single terms)
Lurch
O I see. Well it would have an aftermarket ECU then. I just thought that they would have the standard ECU with a remap or piggyback. What ever Aftermarket ECU the auto supra's got can it be told that its now a manual? Lurch
ahh I see. *to RobSheffield, I'm actually looking at your mates car (B'have). Thats what I mean can it be remapped to a manaul* Is there anyone near Jezz that can do that?
b_have
ahh I see. *to RobSheffield, I'm actually looking at your mates car (B'have). Thats what I mean can it be remapped to a manaul* Is there anyone near Jezz that can do that? Someone called? Actually, it has a fully mapable E-manage Ultimate. It piggy backs the stock ecu for gearbox control, so no issues with a manual conversion.
Lurch
Lol. So would I still need to change ecu's but the emanage will keep the Map? Sorry but I'm not sure when it comes to this stuff, newbie to this. It's best to ask...
b_have
Ian C fitted and mapped it using a fields harness, so I can't see a problem with just plugging it into a manual ecu. The map will stay in the E-manage and with the fields harness, its just plug and play

RobSheffield
Perhaps a personal message to B'have may have been more sensible.
Lurch
The car in question was just an example car. I'm still looking. But thats what I'm after a single turbo'd Auto with 500+bhp
