Hi all, my brother has bought an rx-7 and i am wandering what sort of upgrades you can do to them like the BPU for the supra??

The obvious thing to do would be too search on the rx-7 forums but i dont want to register so thought some may know on here and worth asking thequestion.

Any help appreciated........

:banghead:

Yeah, what Martin said.

There's a guy at work wanting to upgrade his Focus ST170 to a Celica GT4, and he keeps pestering me about what to look for on Celicas, simply because Toyota made Celicas and Supras. I've told him to have a browse on the Celica forums (I'm assuming there are some...), but he keeps saying he can't be bothered as it's too much hassle!

install boost controller

decat. with aftermarket exhaust

install a power fc with commander and get it remapped.

Worth getting some gauges for a rx7 for boost/oil and water temp. V. important for a rx7.

Done. 360bhp - v.v.quick

You forgot the uprated injectors and Skyline fuel pump to run it safely.

Don't go over 1 Bar boost until you've done something with the turbos.

TTC is a good mod on the RX7 and is very popular. There is even a setting on the Power FC to change the map accordingly. PM me and I'll put you in contact with a guy who can do this.

A V-Mount FMIC and rad is also a good idea.

yes uprated fuel pump sorry - oops! that could be costly if you forget that!

Yeh I never went over 0.8 bar boost - no need to really it'll be fast enough I can assure you that.

the problem is everything you do you gota keep getting it mapped...id say do as much as you can or want all at once, then drive like saint keeping the car at very low revs to your nearest mapper and get it mapped, otherwise the cost will go sky high, even more so if you pop the engine:(

Yeah a Power FC/Aftermarket ECU is vital for an RX7 as soon as you do the slightest of mods. You need to get the fuelling etc spot on just for adding a zorst as the stock ECU cant compensate for basic mods.

Thats what I think the score is with RX7s anyway..

Many thanks for all the help. I will get him to sign up to the rx-7 forums and do a bit more research.

I have been in it and it is standard at the minute and feels very slow to me.......

His first Bov is stuck open for some reason so he needs to get the looked at too.

Regards.
