its not really the oil mate, its putting in additives, oil companies spend millions to get the 'edge' on the compatition, if this additive is so good how come none of the oil companies add it to their oil? for what its worth the Lucus oil is probably very good (although don't quote me on that)

Oh dear here we go:rolleyes: there is nothing wrong with semi synthetic, i have run a well modded SR20DET motor on it with no problems at all, and there is nothing wrong with using the best you can find, its just pointless unless you have a highly stressed engine as i said, running over specked oil on the Supra engine is just a waste of money, as its not that special, mechanically speaking.

There's nothing wrong with it no, but personally for the money I don't see why you wouldn't go for a decent fully syn. It is a performance car after all not a family hatchback.

So the additive is being sold by a recognized oil company such as Shell, Silkolene...etc?

p.p.s my car is compleatly standard so shouldnt need mega race oil should it? just checking for next time.

Look up oilmans threads here mate. Then go to Opie Oils website for the complete breakdown of what you need throughout the car. He, oilman, gives us discount too. :)
