Chris Wilson
A diff for JamieP and others who find the stock TMC product lacking in strength. http://www.racecarsdirect.com/viewlisting.php?view=18145
JamieP
What sort of money are we talking for fitting something like that to a mkiv Chris?
Chris Wilson
Lots and lots. Custom prop, custom drivesafts and c/v joints, some sort of bracketry to fix to the subframe, it may well need the subframe itself modding. It may well be cheapr to look for something like Dodge Viper diff. If something happened to the Xtrac a new crown wheel and pinion is probably about 4k. That said, the stuff is out there to make a pretty bulletproof diff. What failed in yours, the spider gears in the differential part, or the actual crown wheel and pinion teeth? JamieP
Way out of my budget then, i dont know what failed but every time it split the casing open, i broke 2 manual tt diffs and 2 auto tt diffs, the last diff in it was a non lsd na diff and i sold it with that.
