michael
Two chaps I work with having a discussion at lunchtime and the subject shifted to which one them had the quickest car - neither is willing to race so who do you award the victory to? 2001 Vauxhall Astra CD 1.6 16v Dualfuel (LPG from the Factory) vs 2000 Ford Escort 1.6 16v Ghia Both blokes are crap drivers and both cars are Burgundy if that makes a difference? The Astra has standard alloys and the interior smells like damp wood. What are the stats on these fine beasts?

The Restorer
Any car with less than 300BHP is for girls Make that 280bhp for those with the 'inferior' standard j-spec I wouldn't worry though. Add the power of both the boy racers and they're still nowhere near!!!
SkyJawa
did they make an escort on a 2000 reg? Surely you mean Focus? If so then the focus would pee on it, 1.6 zetec is a nippy unit and its handling far overshadows the poxhall.

The idiot told me it was a W registration, turns out it's a '98 on an R plate Like you I'd also put money on the Focus if it was one.... but it isn't

Doesn't know his own numberplate 200bhp = fun. Anything below that = annoying.
