Oil feed pipe weap, bit of help needed

As most of you know I am running in the new set up right now, I am 300 miles in now, I got stuck in very bad traffic tonight on the way back from Southend and smelt a bit of oil burning, got home to check and saw this weap, now I checked the pipe and it was quite easy to turn by hand, I have tightened this up with a spanner and hope this will be the end, it goes back for a full check over on saturday to Mark, question is have I done enough or do I need to do something more?

Pipe is on top of turbo

Pipe with 'dampness' of oil, this was smoking of course causing the smell

thats all you should need to do, they shouldn't need any more to make them leak free

bit poor that they didn't check this, oil feed for the turbo is important

I know Mark checked all the feeds more than once, it is perhaps just a case of it working loose during run in ?

I will speak with him tomorrow

If it's leaking from the oil restricter this seems to be a very common issue on the T67dbb's. Mine and Gaz1's were the same and I believe Smarty has the same with his one this week.

Mine started leaking after the first hot/cold cycle, even though I tightened it before starting, it was only hand tight afterwards. It took 3-4 really good hot/cold cycles and tightening after each one until it was properly sealed. It's been fine since (about 1 year and 6000 miles).

Smarty's one was the same except he found the restrictor fitting had stripped part of it's thread, I've not sure if he's sorted it yet, but might be worth sending him a PM.

I guess this is due to the the material differences between the adaptor and the cast cartridge, it just seems to take a while for it all to bed itself in.

This is my take on it too as I've come across this aswell, it's not Mark forgetting to tighten it up ;)
