MARTIN R
I went years ago one a lads holiday, lots of bars and pi$$ed up tourists, kinda like blackpool but warmer and nicer. I enjoyed it, well I think I did:D

n boost
And check out china white bar as well as the electronics shops as goods are pi$$ cheap. Bought a camcorder last time, it was £400 from argos but cost me £170 from gran canaria. Watch out for them nigerians selling fake gold and watches! Lbm
Went in 1981. Loved it.
gregd125
Went twice, and loved it. Go the Kasbah center if you can, and try find Linekers bar. There's a cool bar with scantily clad dancing grirls there to entertain ya. Stay out of the Irish center. I'm Irish, and hated every minute in that dirty kip. Oh, and don't go near the beach at night, and if you go to a lapdancing bar, don't buy the girls any drinks, as it will cost you an arm and a leg, cos they order champagne for themselves. Or so I heard from a mate.
ivan
"try find Linekers bar" LOL - damn Linekers Bars everywhere you turn in the Canaries.
steb9780
I stayed in Puerto Rico 3 times, it's the next resort along the coast. But I have been into Del Ingles twice to the waterpark which is good. The 3rd time was when we hired a jeep. You need to get yourself and your binoculars to the beach where Maspalomas meets Del Ingles, for a bit of bird watching Of the nudist variety. I made the mistake of going on the sand dunes then dragging 3 families through it with kids
ivan
I made the mistake of going on the sand dunes then dragging 3 families through it with kids So did my brother. I'd forgotten to tell him about that. On the down side, the only nudists they saw were old men excercising.

It's just a dirty place, and can be rough enough. Sure it won't kill you to investigate it for yourself.
