Mike
I really need to sort out the back of my car. When I bought it, it had the usual square rear plate and caravan light. I removed the caravan light and did the fog light conversion, and swapped out the square plate for the 'normal' rectangle plate (to hide the holes left by the caravan light!). Then I discovered there is a square cut out in the actual bumper... so basically I turned the old plate around and stuck my new one over the top of it... yes, it looks shocking, and I need to sort it. It's a standard (stock) bumper... I don't really want a plate surround... Does anyone have the measurements for a plate that would fill the space? and recommend somewhere to buy it? Thanks Mike
Franko
Go back to the shop and get a number plate cut to the exact size? if its the stock bumper they make the plates no problem, its the standard import size
Mike
Just measured it at 535mm x 152mm The first place I've found 'custom sized plates' is £41!? just for a rear plate... This was at; http://www.4plates.co.uk/ To save me from going through all that 'build a plate' nonsense again and again.. can anyone recommend a site? ivan
IMO, a full length plate large enough to cover the hole looks silly. I much prefer a square one. Then you could bung a GB sticker over the caravan light hole. Edited June 30, 2008 by ivan (see edit history)
