JamesArup
Evening all, Okay, I'm fairly satisfied that I have used the 'SEARCH' button on here (and SupraForums) and not found the answer to this, so please don't kill me I got a shiney oil catch tank (it was cheap, and I'm a sucka for shiney stuff! ). I'm not so worried about finding a location for it, I'll cross that bridge when I come to it. BUT ... I have no idea where to plumb it in? Where do I put the pipe(s)? Does anyone have any pictures of where the pipes need to go. It's all very well saying that you need to plumb it into the intake doohicky, just next to the flux-capacitor manifold etc etc .... but I suffer from 'extreme numptiness' when it comes to the names of bits in the engine ! So any pics would be awesome! I've attached a pic of the kit if it helps? The can itself has 2 'connectors' ontop? Cheers, J

JamesArup
hey - i'm in the same situation, not much help though - nice watch by the way LOL ... D'oh! It looks like it should be fairly easy .. but I always think that! (the watch is real btw ... if anyone wants it, they're gonna have to take my arm with it :rich: )
Supra ST Myster
belive its this.
JamesArup
Ahhhh, cool .... cheers! So is that saying to take the short pipe off there and plug it up to one of the catch tank 'inputs', and then plug the hose that came with the catch tank onto the other catch tank 'input' and into the point where the short hose originally went to? Did that make sense Cheers, J
terribleturner
Is it really that easy??? I think i see a new purchase coming soon
heckler
the big problem is - where do you fit the catch tank! not much spare room in the engine bay....
Supra ST Myster
take the old pipe off and the 2 nipples that are now exposed the new pipe that comes with the catch tank goes on each end and then onto the 2 ports on the catch tank
Supra ST Myster
just to make sure, from that pic its not the 2 blue pipes you can see, there is a short black pipe just behind them, comes out just below the cam cover.
JamesArup
Ahhhh! I think that's where I was getting confused!! Just took a slightly better pic so that people can see ... is this the pipe you mean? And the catch tank just sits 'inbetween' where that pipe used to be (if you see what I mean! ) Cheers, J
hadyn
wont it be better to have the catch tank venting to atmosphere instead of having all the shite being whipped back round the system again??
heckler
but thats what it does anyway - the breather from the cam goes back into the intake, all the catch can is doing is catching the oil out of the moisture...
hadyn
yep but the catch tank also catches vapours, if you plug it back into the system the vapours go back into the system lowering your fuels RON rating.... vent it to atmosphere to make a difference - although is this safe on a supra set up? hadyn
So has anyone got a nice place where you can actually fit the tank itself out of the way?

hadyn
I've still got the stock air-box, will I have enough space to fit one?
Toms Supra
Oh depends on what model/make you get, I have a GReddy one which are quite big, you can get small Mocal ones though. It wont fit there with stock air box. I have seen some mounted near the bulk head drivers side near brake servo if you DONT have Cruise control. Or done underneath the IC pipe. Not much room is there!
hadyn
Going for a cheapo cusco copy type i think
