Lukeyboy2k
Oooooh - check you mate! Probably not a car I'd think about buying, but I'd definitely like the use of one for a few days. Hope the repair all goes well.

juanchan
Only just read this thread for some reason. Sorry to hear about the numpty damaging your P&J. Hope the repairs are sorted quickly for you. So far so good the assessor has been round and said the car is repairable !! I've been waiting for nearly 2 months now for the 3rd party to admit he was liable for driving into my car when it was parked, and until then they won't send any assessors round! I had quite a polite go at the bloke I spoke to earlier after he said "we've written them a letter". Oooh. Bet they're quaking in their boots. Then he said "it's flagged to chase on 21st July". I told him basically WTF and that I was expecting progress within a week. Only good thing for me is the car's still driveable!
markymark
I'm very surprised even if the other driver hasn't admitted liability that you still need to wait for them to asses the damage? markymark
christ, he must have been drunk driving on the other side of road When I was talking to my neighbor he said he wasn't drunk. The kid had only passed his test a month ago(sounds like he was just showing off and lost control)
juanchan
I'm very surprised even if the other driver hasn't admitted liability that you still need to wait for them to asses the damage? Although I'm fully comp, I'm claiming straight off his insurance for the reason that he denied causing any damage when I spoke to him after the event. My argument was I'm not losing my NCB because he can't drive. I've had it assessed by the guys who I want to repair it, but his insurance want to inspect my car apparently, but they won't do that until their client admits liability

How can the fella in your claim not admit liability when your vehicle was parked?

I've even got witnesses who saw him do it, but his insurance co haven't even written to them for a statement, despite being supplied with contact details. Good luck in getting yours sorted!
