Driver Seat Problems

Hey guys, i've been searching the forums for some advice on this, but can't find anything specific for my probs.

I'm 6' 5" so my seat is waaaay back, but recently I tried to move forward for the wife to drive (needs must etc ;) ) but found that only one side of the motor is working, so twists the seat.

Now to the problem, figure i need to take the seat out, but from what i can find out, I'll need to take the front two bolts out, then (here's the problem) slide forward to take the rear bolts out ....

Anyone advise how i can do stage two and get the seat forward?

Or if anyone has had the same problem, and knows how to fix it!

Thanks all!

TBH i've not got any ring spanners (call myself a man!?!) but i'm going to pick up a set this week and dedicate some time to getting it sorted, so will let you know if I figure what's wrong (hoping it's a wiring thing rather than a frazzled motor).

Need it fixing though, as i'm driving round in a 1.2 '98 punto with no power steering, and it's seriously doing my head in, even if it does cost half as much to get to work and back ;)
