i think the XJ 220 does look a bit dated now, it might look better with some decent wheels, why build a car like that and put on the crapest looking wheels in history :(, imagine the design team when they rolled the wheels out "yeah they look great" wtf were they on drugs

*resurection*

Just watching an old episode of Top Gear on the legendary channel that is "Dave". It was from a few years ago when they were comparing the super cars of the 80s (XJ220, McLaren F1, F40) to the supercars of today (Porsche GT, Enzo). Anyway i thought i recognised the number plate on the XJ220 from this thread and indeed it is the same. So the car you photo'd actually starred on TG whipping an Enzo, GT, Zonda :)

Well as people say, wheels make a car and they are almost as bad as Ford Pepperpot Alloys.

Its not exactly a DB7 now is it?

True!!

If I had 150K to buy one then I would change the wheels. That aside, it's a beautiful machine. As is the DB7 & DB9.

This 2+2 was outside my work

Andy, I've got to say that I much prefer the supe (I presume it's yours) in your picture to the E-Type. I'll probably get shot down for saying this but E-types just don't do it for me. They're a piece of classic British automotive history and very iconic, but I don't think they look that nice. The windscreen looks too vertical and bonnet too long for the height/depth of the engine bay.
