Matt H
Please see the pic below. Its a connector welded into the hard pipe i bought second hand. Anyone know what it could possibly be for? Pics not that clear as it was not taken for the intention of showing this but its there and you can get the idea Ta Matt http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v415/Matt_H/?action=view¤t=IMG_1580.jpg
RobSheffield
That bit on the underside? Looks like it might be a none stock water temp sensor, for a guage maybe?

Tricky-Ricky
It actually looks like one of the stock sensors to me.
Matt H
It actually looks like one of the stock sensors to me. Attached to an after market hard pipe though? I agree that the connector does look like it could be a start part but i'm not sure how it can be. On the original hose you dont have one of these. Unless it was repositioned to that location for some weird reason? If indeed that is what a stock water temp sensor connector would look like? JustGav
The greddy hard pipes came with an after market water temp sensor, although it wasn't at that weird angle. You would be better off relocation the water temp sensor BACK to where it should be, the greddy one is handy if you need to run it an aftermarket ECU/gauge bank. Its Water Temp Sensor i have mine located there running to my Defi control Box Cheers guys well thats sorted that one out. Gav, Its not connected, it just has the option of connecting it there i suppose. quess its doing no harm just being there. i was curious. Looks like i have the option in the future of upgrading my defi set up to include a water temp gauge... for whatever reason someone would do that when the stock one probably works just fine and its in the dial cluster
b_have
Maybe a sensor port for electric fan control (I have similar)
Jay_vr6
Alot of mk3 supra users locate a water temp sender in that hardpipe as the stock sensor and gauge is truly awful. I think that the mk3 and mk4 hardpipes are the same anyway never hurts to have a second accurate gauge I guess
