Anybody know what this is for?

It actually looks like one of the stock sensors to me.

 

Attached to an after market hard pipe though? I agree that the connector does look like it could be a start part but i'm not sure how it can be. On the original hose you dont have one of these.

 

Unless it was repositioned to that location for some weird reason? If indeed that is what a stock water temp sensor connector would look like?

The greddy hard pipes came with an after market water temp sensor, although it wasn't at that weird angle.

 

You would be better off relocation the water temp sensor BACK to where it should be, the greddy one is handy if you need to run it an aftermarket ECU/gauge bank.

Its Water Temp Sensor i have mine located there running to my Defi control Box

Its not connected, it just has the option of connecting it there i suppose. quess its doing no harm just being there. i was curious. Looks like i have the option in the future of upgrading my defi set up to include a water temp gauge... for whatever reason someone would do that when the stock one probably works just fine and its in the dial cluster :blink:
