Terminator Posted February 21, 2005 Share Posted February 21, 2005 I was talking to the guys at Black Spot (Road Angel) last week, as I could not download my updates. It turned out the update was so huge they had to remote reset my Road Angel. They advised very regular updates of GPS data bases at the moment as they were adding so many new sites each week. As the end of the year approaches lots of local authorities have to spend budgets. You guessed, they are spending it on cameras like it is going out of style. The guy could not give numbers, but suggested the weekly increase in camera locations was huge. When I down loaded my last update at the weekend, it was certainly the biggest file I have ever downloaded. I will be downloading a couple of times a week from now on , or for the next two months at least and especially if I have to make trips into unknown territory.
