TazUK
Nightmare this morning. Tried starting the car and the starter motor just kept churning without the engine actually starting. A waited about 5 minutes and gave it another go, the engine began to start but it was coughing and spluttering and white/greyish smoke coming out the exhaust. I've left it for now but has anyone got any ideas? EDIT: Ok, now only the starter motor turns the engine over which i would normally assume to be a fuel issue. Anyone got any ideas on how to check if my pump is working fine and the lines are clear?

Ian C
Do you mean it just turns over and won't start now? There is a hose you can take off the fuel pump cover that is the fuel system return hose. Stick it in an empty bottle, turn the car over, see if any fuel goes in it. If it does, your fuel system should be OK. If not, you have found your problem -Ian
