stuohy
Weird question I know, but does anyone know what the maximum length a cardholder's name can be when printed on a bank/credit card?!
caseys
Weird question I know, but does anyone know what the maximum length a cardholder's name can be when printed on a bank/credit card?! These things are programmed and I can't remember what it was when I used to have to send info off to De La Rue (one of the card printing agencies). But I think with salutation + names you could fit on about 60 characters. I was thinking of changing my name legally to '*' just to mess with things.. Because our current system only has room for 25 characters and we couldn't find any information about whether there was a standard size limit... There's normally someone on here who's done something/knows something..
caseys
Why would you ask a question like that? Why would you know something like that Strange, v. strange Because I work in the financial sector and used to send off a file to the card printers with people's salutation, names and accounts and occasionally we had to edit the file
