SupraAyf
I'm sure a good number of you have been to a Dog/Animal Rescue Centre at some stage in your lives but this was a first for me today. The missus and I wanted to take all of the inmates home (not seen so many sad eyes for a while) but my favourite was a 30-month old Rotti called Roman - what a star:) We even took him for a 'test-walk'. The two of us are still considering if we should take him but if we don't then we'll start donating a few quid per month for the upkeep of the centre. The Staffi-Bull Terriers are certainly getting a bad deal as there were at least 15 of the poor things behind bars:( Reports to follow;)
JamieP
Breaks ya heart dont it, we have one not far from us and when i have spare time on my hands i go up there to walk the dogs, as you say always a lot of staffies, shame as they are such a wonderful dog:(

Swampy442
I got my current dog, Buster from a rescue center. We wanted to give an old dog a good few years before he passed on, and we're succeding lol. Im the same, when you go to a place like that you wished you could take them all home. I might do that myself Jamie, it never really occured to me you could
SupraAyf
We will look forward to the pics Andrew Hey Gary, Abbey is on the left and Roman on the right. They aren't related but Rotti's have lovely temperaments unless a burglar breaks in to the house and then they loose it a bit. Breaks ya heart dont it, we have one not far from us and when i have spare time on my hands i go up there to walk the dogs, as you say always a lot of staffies, shame as they are such a wonderful dog Good on you Jamie mate;) I'll be doing the same if we don't take the dog(s). It is a bit sad with the Staffi's though! Im the same, when you go to a place like that you wished you could take them all home. I might do that myself Jamie, it never really occured to me you could Yep, you can at some places. The centre that we're dealing with does short to long term fostering services too so you can even take a dog for weeks at a time. I'm not sure if short term fosters are good TBH as it probably confuses the dog a bit:rolleyes:

colsoop
It is very sad. Looks like those 2 rotties need a good home . You will have the space to take them to the park now your new car is nearly here
Paul
Nice dogs mate, I couldn't go to a rescue centre, it'd break my heart as I'm a big softie when it comes to dogs. Got a year old Rough Collie and love him to bits, also have a direct debit to 'Dogs Trust' (NCDL) for years so like to feel I'm helping them in some small way Looks like you are putting some thought into it which is great, they've already been let down once in their life and deserve a proper home now. Carl_S
I'd like a dog, maybe a retired greyhound, or a terrier. But I'm looking after two cats so it's unlikely i will ever get one when they are still around, also I feel I will need my own garden.
