Turbo replacement advice.

Hi peeps ..

I've just got a hold of some second hand JSpec Turbo's that I'm thinking of getting them rebuilt as spares. I was thinking of turning them into hybrids to run 1.3 Bar safely.

The reason for the rebuild is that I have no idea what boost they were running and how long they'd been not in use. They'd been taken off the car due to a single turbo upgrade. (Don't want to go single - as I like the sequential setup and imho - the single upgrade isn't affordable to me)

1) At a rough guess .. what do you guys think of cost for the rebuild of 2 turbos to hybrid ?

2) I'm thinking of other mods that are necessary:

a) An FMIC ?

b) 550cc Injectors, with appropriate fuel rail and SAFC to map the fueling ?

I'm currently running 1.2 Full Decat, RSR, with Restrictor Ring & Walbro.

Would appriecate your thoughts.

Cheers!

~edit~ they'd done stock boost, done 40K miles.

It will cost about £1,400 to get your turbos built and they should be good for about 1.5 bar. Get rid of the restrictor ring as you wont need that anymore. UK 550cc injectors will go in your fuel rail but you will need a risistor pack for them to work.

SAFC would be sensible and a good rolling road tune should see good results.

FMIC would bring the charge temps down so you could produce more boost with less effort but thats another £800. Depends how deep your pockets are.
