Apexi AVC-R/S-AFC Question!

They are both TPS related so ignore my previous remarks:innocent: but i do seem to recall pin 43 so it should work, do you need to calibrate the Apexi stuff in order for it to work?

I would imagine it needs calibrating yes, so it knows which voltages are no throttle and which are full throttle.

Have a read of the book and see if you can see how to calibrate it.

Fire up the electrics then hold the throttle wide open, and watch the Apexi unit count up the %age opening until it reaches 100%. You have now calibrated the blighter.

The 143km/h issue is probably a speed limiter removal issue, you're seeing the clamped speed value (an odd one, mind you.)

have you got the TP working? also make sure you have got it set on the correct cylinder number, i had it wrong once and it mucked loads of things up...also with the SAFC, you are meant to do the "inital setup" all before the car is fired up, otherwise it can go wrong....have you done all the sensor type and numbers etc?

As for the speed i preume its tricking the ecu into think you are doing a different speed to actually what you are or something so it doesnt hit the limiter...may have got that wrong tho?!?!?!

what are senser type and numbers?? im confused?!?!?!

[1. Sensor Type] ~> [1. Hot-Wire] ~> [in-12, Out-12] ~> [in-1, Out-1] is it correct?!

6 cyld spd4

i have had an SAFC2 on my car now for 2 years and although it has given sterling service it will be replaced soon by something a bit more sophisticated, when i installed it i left the fueling correction disconected until the morning i arrived at a reputable tuner who set it up properly on a dyno, how do you propose to set it up, you are really taking risks here and could very easily damage if not total your engine
