Do Luck demo car

dangerous brain

Recommended Posts

Its with a great deal of reluctance I am putting my car up for sale.

Its got to go so I will accept a reasonable offer for it.

I'm going to get myself into alot of trouble. I'm finding myself driving at speeds that are not going to endear me to the local constabulary, and I can't afford to lose my license. All of my freinds are starting to comment on my speed so its not something I can ignore.

So where do you guys reckon is the best place to advertise this beast? Is £7.5k too much for a fairly quick sale? I am losing a hodge of cash selling at this price as well but then isn't everyone at the mo.

I can't understand why I can't find the flaming specs for this car any time I look for them. So I will have to wing it on what I can remember.

Its THE Do-Luck demo vehicle from their website http://www.do-luck.com/to_arist_147.html

Its featured in hyper revs super demo car section http://www.showoffyourcar.com//cars/TOYOTA/20925.jpg

There is not a lot that isn't modified. Its got the full do-luck aero wyvern kit for the JZS147. Its obviously got a full respray in a deep mettalic purple.

The rims are Luxor 18"s

Turbo wise precision BL T67 DBB strapped to a HKS tubular manifold with possibly a HKS waste gate flowed through an external screamer pipe.

Huge HKS FMIC

Throaty 3" exhaust system with a twin exit

Unknown injectors probably 650 cc ones

AEM standalone ECU mapped by RYAN G

I've just fitted a water injection system

Bosch fuel pump

Fuel pressure regulator (can't remember what type)

Theres a HKS induction pipe with a generic green air filter on it (the mushroom job is available but is as good at filtering as a tea bag.

So the dyno chart when it had the T04R in it

http://spicyweasel.com/bryan/albums/...dan%20dyno.jpg

Theres a do-luck centre strut brace

AAR leather racing seats

Keeping an eye on things are an AEM Uego AFR meter linked up the AEM ecu, HKS oil temp and press guages, HKS boost gauge, HKS EGT guage.

The cars running 1.3 bar of boost and is projected at around 500 BHP at the wheels.

It turns heads wherever it goes and gets so many wow cool car comments.

I'll make up a better ad when I get chance and probably list it on fleabay and piston heads.

This is a lovely car... having been in it, it is superb :)

Secondly the seller is a proper honest gentleman when it comes to car sales. I've had the pleasure of buying two cars from him and couldn't recommend him highly enough.

OK devils advocate here. How low would the price have to go for someone to be actually interested? I mean someone with cash in hand. The car has featured in Hyper revs magazine in the super demo car section and there are none of the cars on this forum can say that. The car also has won awards at the tokyo auto salon how many cars here can say that? The car also features on do-lucks website across the world there is not 1 car on this site that can say this aprt from the do-luck supra that is £20 odd grands worth.

In case people are wondering despite its girth and weight its still flaming fast--911 GT3 fast, well actually faster than that as proven at castle donington.

So how low does one have to go to sell a car that is faster than a 911 can fit your family in whilst doing it and is a one off award winning looker?

I've not really marketed it properly if I am honest. I did actually think that someone here would spot an utter bargain and snap my hand off. After a while I thought well if I offered it at £5k would it sell. Now I think probably it wouldn't. Then I thought how much are the parts on the car worth and I realised actually a hell of a lot more than the £7500 I priced it at. If I really wanted to sell it then yeah I would do a decent ad with all the details and the awards and the full mag listing etc but you would think a savvy person would be on top of the game and see what is a bargain. Well maybe not huh.

to be brutally honest it would sell at 5k very quick , even though it is a fair price as it is
